A name which reminds us velour, heroism, zeal to spread Knowledge of Deen, preach and protect the Deen , Remind us self scarifies, selflessness and love of Allah, Rasul of Allah and the Deen of Allah. A name we remember with respect, love and get inspiration from, whose story gives us pride and makes us to shed tears at the same time. He was the First envoy of Islam. He was Musaab Bin Umair (Radiyallahu Anhu),

Musaab was the most handsome youth among the Meccan. He was the Jewell of Mecca, son of the rich parents, was born and brought up with huge luxury, that such luxury we can’t even imagine in this age. His parents used to buy a dress for him worth 200 dirhaam’s (Gold coins), Now if we think about 1 gold coin worth nowadays, we find that 1 gold coin value is between $1800-$2100, if 1 dirhaam was equal to $1800-$2100 then what was the actual value of the dresses worth 200 Dirhams? such luxury AllahuAkber! according to the understanding of these days he was a son of a billionaire , Isn’t it? When the parents used to buy a dress with such price, what was the other treatments of food , living and riding animal for the apple of their eyes? Only Allah SWT knows.

However, his parents gave him all kinds of luxury, he was the most expected boy of different assemblies of Quraishites, we know most of the people of duniya gather around the rich people, one reason is to have the pride o f the friendship of that rich personality and the other reason is to get benefited by them too (Nauzubillah), So Musab’s story was no difference, He was the most expected youth among the assemblies. He was blessed with good Akhlaq and wisdom as well as was charming. people would love his company. When we imagine we find a personality pampered with all kinds of luxury, blessed with handsome feature and excellent character, the friends, chiefs and elite (?) people are always around him. It’s really hard to think that same personality in the group of poor and the people away from worldly pomp and show but Allah SWT is all wise, His wisdom is above everything, He selected this same youthful vigor for the life of sacrifice towards the Khidmah of Deen and created an example for all the rich youth until Qiyamah to learn a beautiful path of guidance to follow Subhanallah!

When Nabi (S.W) started giving Dawah, it was the talk of the town that Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) calling people towards a new religion, Quraishites were anxious , very much concerned, assemblies and gathering everywhear one talk, some thing happened to Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam). Musaab, the jewel of Mecca, he also heard the voice from everywhere Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) became mad, magician and so many other negative calls. Musaab was young but he was wise, wisdom and common sense was in his trait. he knew this is the same person who was called “Al-Ameen” for his trustworthiness, he was the same person who was hasty to help the widow, orphan and travelers, the same person who established “Hilful Fudhl” to help the Needy and destitute why all of a sudden he became enemy of everyone? Musaab’s wisdom tells him to know the reality by himself, he did not take a decision about Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) instantly rather he decided to meet the prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) by himself before judging him.

It was not so easy to meet Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) as the Quraishites kept their spy everywhere, Musaab was the famous youth, if anybody learn he is going to meet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam), will inform to his parents instantly. So Musab decided to meet Him secretly at night, In one night he went to Arqaam (R.D)’s place where Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) used to teach the Sahaba (R.D) about different teachings of Islaam, meet people, pray salaat with congregation and other things. Musaab went there with so much concern in his heart, entering inside he met Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam), sitting few seconds with him and the Noorani environment of the Noble company made his heart enlightened. when Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) recited few Ayaah from the Quraan, that gave him such peace that he never felt in his life of huge luxury before. Musaab then became determined to accept the truth that came from the Lord of the universe and accepted Islam then and there (Radiyallahu Anhu), Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) was very happy by his acceptance of Islaam. The Noor of Imaan enlightened his heart in that night which lead him to leave all kind of worldly luxury, pomp and show and made him a person completely sub subservient to Allah and His Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam).

He then started coming to Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) secretly and keep learning from Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) about Islaam, Salaat. Once one spy of the kuffer have seen him going to Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) secretly. he followed him and finally have seen him praying like Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam). The richest youth of Mecca is in the group of Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)!! The people of world have value of wealth, its something big news for them when a rich personality sings in any group, but the people of Akhirah have no value of these things, they learn to leave the world even if the world is brought under their feet. Musaab (Radiyallahu Anhu) was leaving the world bit by bit because the most precious gift of the love of Allah and Rasul enlightened his heart, he lost his pleasure in this world anymore. On the other hand, in the sight of Kuffer he was the son of a billionaire. The spy run to his parents and informed what had he seen. They were astonished because there was nothing that they did not give him, wealth, luxury, ease and comfort! and he finding peace with a group which is in the negative sight of the entire nation!! Who are poor and controlled by the Quraish!! How could their son can mix with them, they thought maybe because of his tender age, he did not understand, by keeping him saved from the meeting, might change him. Musaab (Radiyallahu Anhu’s) mother was very strong and powerful lady, she called her son and told him to renounce Islaam. But her young boy was not any more the same boy he was, the love of truth entered in the heart that washed away all kind of foolishness from him and made him a very strong person. Her boy was like a rock to his conviction to the faith of truth. She then kept him chained in the deepest corner of home so that he cant meet Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam). In the darkness of the donjon the light of truth also entered more deep inside his heart, The sacrifice for a certain thing makes the heart more strong to that specific thing, Musaab (Radiyallahu Anhu) also became more determined and strong in his conviction to Imaan.

The help of Allah was also near for him, the persecution of the Quraish became so severe that Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) gave permission to Sahaba (R.D) to migrate to Abyssinia , a very just ruler used to rule that country. The news came to Musaab (R.D) too. Somehow he managed to escape and leave Mecca with the group of Sahaba (R.D) towards Abyssinia. The life of hardship started, the rich boy became poor and hardship upon hardship hitting him one by one but the heart which loved Allah SWT the most, in this path all hardship felt very mere to him. Musaab (Radiyallahu anhu) came back to Mecca after sometime with Sahaba (R.D) with ragged dress and simple life. Once he was passing in front of the the prophet (S.W) wearing a very old dress which had so many patches in it. The prophet (S.W) could not hold eye tears and cried bitterly by reminding his past life of luxury. Nabi S.W) then said more or less,

“I have seen Musaab, there was no boy more pampered by his parents than he, then he abandoned everything for the love of Allah and His Rasul (S.W)”

His parents no longer wanted to keep any connection with him for his acceptance of Islaam. The flower of Mecca became the flower of Akhirah then and started a life of austerity to please Allah SWT. He parted from his parents to protect his Deen, At the time of parting, he went to his mother, the mother said,

“Go away I am no longer your mother”

Musaab (R.D), the heart which was enlightened with truth and learnt about eternal success, he called his mother towards truth and gave her Dawah towards Islaam, so that she might become saved in the hereafter. She answered, ” by the stars, I will never enter in your religion and degrade my status and weaken my sense.” So they parted and the life of true love of Allah begun. where nothing left for him except Tawakkul on Allah. the days of hunger became longer and the dress became old and patched. but the Imaan kept becoming stronger and stronger. Allah SWT then choose him for huge honer ahead that the entire mankind will remember him with admiration until the day of judgment.

During the Hajj season, some people from Madinah came for Hajj, the Prophet (S.W) was giving Dawah to every tent of different community came for hajj, Some teased him, some behaved politely and some harshly. That’s how by giving Dawah the entire day passed, evening appeared, Finally Nabi (S.W) reached to the tent of the people of Madinah and called them towards Islaam, they delightedly accepted Islaam and expressed their desire to take the prophet (s.W) with them too. They were saying themselves, when we accepted Islaam why should our prophet keep running in mountain to mountain of mecca and disgrace by people, we will take our prophet with us and keep him with respect like our leader. They expressed their desire to Nabi (S.W). Nabi (S.W) would do everything by the command of Allah, the command for migration for him wasnot came yet. At the night of Aqabah the people of Madinah took pledge in the hands of Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) and asked for a person to take with them who will teach them Quraan and different other Ahkaam of Islaam. All other eminent Sahaba (R.D) were present in that gathering but the prophet of Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) chose Musaab (R.D) for this mission and made him the first envoy of Islaam on behalf of him for Madinah.

Musaab (R.D) left Mecca towards Madina with his Ansaar brothers as the first ambassador of Islam. As’ad bin Zurarah (R.D) of Madina was there to keep him in his home as he was the envoy of Rasulullah (S.W), people of Madina would come to him in groups to learn about Islaam, by listening his beautiful recitation and watching his beautiful character people accepted him wholeheartedly and started learning Deen from him. When the Madinite were coming to him in groups, the leaders of Madinah became anxious and decided to take him out from there as he making astray to their simple people towards a new religion. Two leaders Usaid and Saad decided to go to him and say straightforward to him to leave their land, they went to him, but getting inside to As’ad (R.D’s) house and showed anger to him, but still when As’ad (R.d) said,

“,You first listen to him, if you like his teachings you may accept if not you may do whatever you want”.

Agreeing him they met Hadrat Musaab (R.D), Hadrat Musaab (R.D) explained the virtues of Islaam and recited a few Ayah of Quraan before them. His excellent behaviour and beautiful recitation made them to ask how he admit a person to accept Islaam. they accepted Islam, they were leaders. Their acceptance made the entire Madinah to accept Islam. All the people would come to this one person, Hadrat Musaab (R.D) to learn Islaam. Just think only one person and the entire Madinah coming to learn Deen from him, how busy was he to build a complete non Muslim nation towards a nation of Islaam enriched with Islaamic knowledge? He worked so hard that within one year 70 Mumineen and Muninaat were ready to go to meet the prophet (S.W) with their teacher Musaab (R.D).

Time passed, entire Madinah became eager to bring the Habeeb of Allah (sallallahu Alaihi wa sallam) to their land, from their teacher Musaab bin Umair (R.D) they learnt about their beloved prophet, his excellent character and mission. They already colored with the color of Habeeb (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam). The command of Allah came for the prophet (S.W) to migrate to Madinah, the people of Madinah would wait for him on the top of the mountain as the massage came to them the prophet of Allah (sallallahu Alaihi wa sallam) and Abu abkr (R.D) is on their way to Madeenah. The people would go to the mountain top every morning and entire day wait there to see if the Habbeb (S.W) was seen from the horizon, everyday they would come down with sadness, One day people was coming down with sadness but in the horizon something was moving, they came back again, the Singh of the Prophet of Allah (S.W’s) arrival had appeared from there, they cried out loudly with so much happiness, “The Rasul of Allah has arrived, the Rasul of Allah has arrived. the Rasul of Allah has arrived”.

Just one call, the entire Madinah became a festive city to welcome the Rasul of Allah, the small kids sat in the street of Madinah and was playing daf and reciting the Naat of welcome,

طلع البدر علينا – من ثنيات الودا -وجب الشكر علينا- ما دعا للـه داع

أيها المبعوث فينا- جئت ﺑﺎلأمر المطاع- جئت شرفت المدينة- مرحبا يا خير داع

“The full moon rose over us. From the valley of Wada. And it is incumbent upon us to show gratitude. For as long as anyone in existence, calls out to Allah. O our Messenger amongst us. Who comes with the exhortations to be obeyed. You have brought nobility to this city. Welcome to you who call us towards goodness”.

And behind all these was Musaab bin Umar (R.D) who made this land ready for his Habeeb (S.W), forgot his own self and established the honer of the Rasul of Allah And Islaam in that foreign land. May Allah gives our Sahaba (R.D) the best Ajr and honer for their sacrifices to spread Islaam. Ameen.

Nabi (S.W) was living as the leader in Mdina, the Quraish got agitated, within one year they arranged a battle, the most honorable battle of Islaam battle of Badr took place. With mere number of people and weapon the soldiers of Allah won the battle. Allah SWT showed again the help is with the believers only. This loss in the battle made the Kuffar revengeful, agitated. By next year, they came with more army and the battle of Uhud took place. The prophet (S.W) selected the first envoy, Hadrat Musaab (R.D) to hold the standered (Flag) of Islaam. Gave different responsibility to different Sahaba (R.D), He ordered a group of 10/15 people to stand in a certain cliff on mount Uhud. A fierce battle took place and the Muslimeen won again, the Kuffer was retreating with shame, they were running away. The people standing in the cliff came down because the battle was over, but the order to come down hadn’t came yet from Rasulullah (S.W). The commander of Kuffer was the wise Khalid bin Walid (after the battle he also accepted Islam and became Sahaba), he noticed the rear is empty, he commanded to march the army towards the rear and attacked from the rear, they marched and entered from the back again in the battle field. They massacred everything, whoever came in front they killed like nothing, they mutilated the body after that, finally they reached the prophet (S.W) and completely surrounded him with great revenge to fulfill their sinister job. They rummer ed that the prophet (S.W) is no more to confuse the heroes of Islaam, to whom the Nabi of Allah (sallallahu Alaihi wa sallam) was more dearer than their own life. Musaab (R.D), by seeing this condition, tried to turn the attention of the enemies of Allah towards him so that the Nabi of Allah get saved, He called, out loud “Allahu Akber!” and started running, the call that shakes the base of the infidels, they started chasing him, he held the flag of Islam by one hand and by the other hand he was fighting, but the kuffer surrounded him from all around, they multiplied in number just for one soldier of Allah. The Kuffer again called out the rummer that Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi wa sallam) has no more to make the Muslims scattered. (we should understand here this is the trick of the kuffer that they spread rummers to make us scattered and away from unity, so be cautious of different news’s, Allah SWT kept example for us in the life of Sahaba Ikram (R.D)] however, the Sahaba (R.D) became dishearten by the news, even the big and eminent Sahaba (R.D) were scattered because of the news but Musaab (R.D) was standing in his position like a rock, He was a sigh of steadfastness in that day. The enemies of Allah are always scared of steadfastness, they got agitated, they surrounded him in huge number, Musaab (R.D) was handling the big number of enemy just by himself alone. They were striking him with swords, spears. then one kafir cut his hand which was held the flag of Islam. he instenly took the flag to the other hand. the kafir cut his another hand too he then held the flag with his bleeding arms near to his chest. The kuffar then came and gave the final struck that went through Musaab (R.D’s) body. Even in that moment Musaab (R.D) was uttering ,

وَمَا مُحَمَّدٌ إِلَّا رَسُولٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ ٱلرُّسُلُ

“AND MUHAMMAD (sallallahu Alaihi wa sallam) is only an apostle; all the [other apostles have passed away before him”

the rummer that the prophet (sallallahu Alaihi wa sallam) is no more that was giving hurt to him, he was saying it to console his own self, Musaab (R.D) sacrificed his own life but did not let the flag of Islaam to touch the ground. The final struck took him to martyrdom. He fell in the ground and another Sahaba (R.D) came running to take over the flag of Islaam.

How great was his life who gave everything for Allah and His Rasul (sallallahu Alaihi wa sallam) ! He showed us a path of truth, steadfastness. how true was he in his love and loyalty to Allah and His Rasul (sallallahu Alaihi wa sallam)! After the battle the prophet (S.W) came and stood near his body, tears was flowing down from His eyes and He was saying, ” In the mecca there was none precious jewel then you and here you lying bareheaded in a garment”

May Allah gives us all the true love for Islam and follow our Sahaba Ikram (R.D), who sacrificed their own life to bloom the flower of truth. May Allah gives Musaab (R.d) among the highest Ajr Allah SWT prepared for the His nearest people on behalf of the entire Ummah, May we also leave the love of this world and work hard to make Islaam the most strongest thing in this world by our wisdom and Mujahada. Ameen.
